To achieve its vision, the PHLIF
is dedicated to providing the finest leadership development possible to those individuals who are,
and who will be, active in improving the health of Floridians. The Institute is founded on the belief
that excellence in training and development will significantly enhance the leadership abilities of
individuals working to improve the health of our communities. Institute graduates, as a result of their
experience, will substantially strengthen the capacity of the public health system and private sector
health providers to improve the health of the people of their communities and Florida.
