* Finally...the *Journal Citation Report* (JCR) is now available online! Check your impact factors and journal performance metrics at will...to access, go to the Shimberg home page, Databases menu, left side, select Web of Knowledge. The JCR is right there, along with Current Contents Connect, the Science Citation Indexes, and more**

*  *New England Journal of Medicine* is now available in 2 formats. The current and prior (back to the 1800s) print copy is on the shelf, at the library. The online version is available within the Ovid Medline database. Both formats are viewable by one individual at a time. If and when the journal is in use, regardless of format, please try again later. The price to have multiple online accesses to *this one journal*, is, literally (*$6000.00*), prohibitive

*  Free access is available, for a limited time, to the first issues of the *Nature Clinical Practice Series*: /-Nature Clinical Practice Cardiovascular Medicine // /nature.com/ncpcardio  <http://www.nature.com/ncpcardio> /-Nature Clinical Practice Gastroenterology & Hepatology /nature.com/ncpgasthep <http://www.nature.com/ncpgasthep>/ -Nature Clinical Practice Oncology /nature.com/ncponc <http://www.nature.com/ncponc> - /Nature Clinical Practice Urology /nature.com/ncpuro <http://www.nature.com/ncpuro>

* *Search Tip:* to *find research articles in PubMed /other than controlled trials of any type or meta-analyses/, *create (and save in PubMed Cubby), a re-usable search statement similar to this one:
conclusion* [ab] OR method* [ab] OR design* [ab] OR purpose* [ab] OR sample [ab] OR n [ab] OR outcome* [ab] OR result* [ab]. AB searches abstracts only.
There are many more research related terms that may be appended with OR for greater retrieval. Results of this search combined (use AND) with your major search term or subject will retrieve research *above and beyond *controlled trials of any type or meta-analyses.
