The University of South Florida is the second largest university in Florida and one of the top 15 largest universities in the U.S. with almost 40,000 students. Opening in 1971, the College of Medicine joins the College of Nursing and the College of Public Health to comprise USF Health, located on the northwest corner of the campus. USF is closely affiliated with a number of hospitals throughout the Tampa Bay area. These facilities, along with the USF Medical Clinics, provide care to a wide range of patients of all ages.
