The Shimberg Health Sciences Library and the Graduate Medical Education office have collaborated in developing a program specifically for USF medical residents and fellows to assist them in their scholarly activity endeavors. Currently, the program consists of three medical librarians, Kristen Morda, Danny O'Neal, and John Orriola.

- Classes on Pubmed, Ovid, Web of Knowledge, as well as other medical literature databases
- Classes on EndNote - a bibliographic management software tool
- Instruction on downloading software to PDAs
- Assistance creating research Strategies
- Assistance creating posters using PowerPoint
- Instruction on accessing library resources off campus
