Neurology Clerkship

The University of South Florida College of Medicine offers a three-week, top class learning and teaching experience in Neurology for the third year medical students. The rotation is part of the Neuropsychiatry Clerkship. Each student rotates in Stroke, inpatient and outpatient general Neurology setting. The inpatient training is provided in Tampa General Hospital that is a busy, top-quality, 958-bed academic teaching facility. It has one of the largest Neuroscience ICU in the country. Our students also have exciting opportunities to focus on common and rare neurological disorders in the University subspecialty and general neurology clinics. In addition to the clinical work, the students' knowledge and curiosity in Neurology is stimulated in lectures, case discussions, teaching conferences, jeopardy games and review of evidence-based medicine literature. Our dedicated faculty and residents work closely with the medical students in order to provide an outstanding and enriching experience in the most sophisticated system in the human body.
