Research


Dr.Freeman received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, in 1977, and his M.D. in Medicine in 1981 from Johns Hopkins University School of Med. He then took a Resident and Chief Resident position at New York University Medical Center, NY in 1982. He was appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at the University Of South Florida, College Of Medicine in 1988.Dr.Freeman is a Professor in the Department of Neurosurgery, and is also the Medical Director of the Center of Excellence for Aging and Brain Repair. Dr. Freeman is First in the world to prove that fetal grafts survive in the human brain, for both PD and HD.
