Dr. Oleg Kuzmenok received his MD degree in Minsk State Medical University(Republic of Belarus).  He finished PhD Program in Immunology (specialty: "Clinical Immunology and Allergology" at the Moscow State Institute of Immunology (Russian Federation) in 1993.  For over fifteen years, his research
focused upon studies of the effects of radiation on T cell immunodeficiency formation in people affected following Chernobyl catastrophe. Previous research focused on  thymus hormones and autoantibody against thymic epithelial cells evaluations as a main mediators of post-radiation acceleration of aging (Int J Radiation Biology, 1993; 63: 519-528). More recently, the immunology of Myasthenia Gravis (MG) and elaboration of IgG treatment protocols for MG was the main subject of his study. He is currently investigating immunomodulating effects of human umbilical  cord blood on mouse model of ALS and Sanfilippo Syndrome. His work involves Th1/Th2 and serum autoantibody assays, immuno-histochemical and PCR analyses.
