START PROGRAM

The Signature Interdisciplinary Program in Allergy, Immunology and Infectious Disease (SIPAIID) has announced a short- term mentorship program for its faculty dubbed as: SIPAIID Summer Training for the Advancement of Research and Technology (START). In this program, the faculty will be provided with a grant of $2500 to support advanced undergraduates research oriented medical students to work in the faculty lab for a period of 10 weeks. The program will be effective as of April 1, 2007. The faculty can apply for the program and send a resume and qualifications of the trainee to the SIPAIID by email ncrawfor@health.usf.edu.

 

How to Apply for the SIPAIID START Program:

The student will be required to submit a one page proposal in consultation with the faculty mentor along with a CV. There is no deadline. The duration of the internship will be 10 weeks, 40 hours per week. The $2500.00 stipend is for the student only. There will be a required report after the 10 week period.
